Issue with manually editing lpl files

I’m having issues when I open lpl files with a text editor. I’ve tried Notepad and Notepad +

Instead of the normal playlist format, I only get a bunch of jumbled symbols.

Anyone come across this before?

Settings > Playlists > Compress Playlists

That option is probably turned on.

You can easily uncompress the playlist by turning that option off and then simply opening the playlist in RetroArch. You don’t even have to load an item from it, just access it and it will change it to whatever that option is currently set to. This also applies to content_history.lpl and favorites.
