So today I wanted to play some earthbound again, hadn’t played it in a while. Loaded it up in snes9x and it crashed. Tried 9xnext and it went glacially slow and made horrible sounds. bsnes crashed. This happened on all my roms. So I uninstalled and reinstalled retroarch and it still happened. I thought maybe they were old or corrupt roms so I got new copies and it still happened. I’ve auto calibrated the refresh rate and it still sucks, tried vsynch on and off, threaded video on and off, still all sucks, still regular crashes. WTF HAPPENED? This worked perfectly well a month or so ago on the same phone, no android updates have occurred so its not that. How did this ruin itself without anything happening? Phone is a motorola xt925, and as I say, played all roms perfectly fine in the past.
Have you tried turning off your input overlay (just to test)?
Can you post a logcat of the crashes?
I’ve tried without an overlay, still the same. Not sure how to post a logcat or even find one, it was just the standard android “this program has stopped responding”. It doesn’t really matter anymore because I’ve uninstalled RA and now just use the individual emulators perfectly fine. Sorry to say that you lost a fan, because I really liked the project.
No worries. Have fun.
