From what I can tell, the android input driver does not support keyboard and mouse:
I mean, you can detect and map keyboard keystroke ids to gamepad buttons, but it is not possible to use a keyboard to type a line of text when running a core (ScummVM for example). Are there any plans to implement keyboard support in the android input driver?
