Kirby's Dreamland 3 SNES slow downs

Hi all,

Is anyone else getting slow downs in Kirby’s Dreamland 3? Im using bsnes mercury balanced and it isnt terrible, but it isnt normal like all the other snes games. Any specific settings I can try?

It’s a pretty heavy game, using the SA1 expansion chip and frequently using the hires mode (512px width). Since the width is doubling, if you have a heavy shader running, it has to run on twice as many pixels in that mode, so it could be slowing things down, too.

This game has slow downs on the real machine too.
Try it in snes9x with “reduce slowdown” on “compatible” in the core options.

LOL ok so I updated to 1.7.1 and turned down my frame delay from the absurd 10 on version 1.3.6 down to 2 and that seems to have fixed it, now the issue I have is that mario kart wont load on 1.7.1…all other games do…any thoughts?
