Linux N64 cores have an buttons with extreme delay

Hello. Thanks for reading my topic. Ubuntu 20.04.6 AMD FX 6300 GT 640 using Vulkan and an PS4 DS4 controller. OS using cpu performance profile.

When using both cores Mupen64PlusNext and ParaLLEL the C buttons are configured in PS4 DS4 triangle-circle-R1-R2.

When pressing B, A , L or R not any delay, but when pressing C buttons have an extreme delay or not works.

You press the button not any action or action in 2 or 3 seconds and few times not delay.

Is much harder configure c buttons for controller. Several times to works.

Not any background tasks running ā€¦ only Retroarch.

That problem only happen in N64 cores.

In Mupen64PlusNext and ParaLLEL are enabled ā€œIndependent C Buttons Controlsā€.

Retroarch setting gamemode enabled and latency settings in defaults.

not unfortunately, but you always have the option in the toolbar to view as code or even as a summary.

N64 C buttons default are configured to right analog. If using at same time right analog and controller buttons happen that problem. Configuring C buttons only for buttons and not for analog fix it.

Glad you discovered this, I also noticed something weird with the right analog but apparently itā€™s a generalized thing.

I have done some test configuring buttons and hotkeys to right analog with the same ā€œbuttonā€ being used in controller buttons doing delay issues. Perhaps an problem in input code when configuring the same button in controller digital button and analog stick. Unhappily Retroarch not allow autofire and configure the same button for 2 controller buttons so creating an custom combo button. MAME does it very well and is good being an default for emulators.
