Logitech f310 not recognized on OpenElec x86-64

OK, I have two Logitech controllers, a dual acion gamepad, and an F310. The dual action gamepad is working fine, but I want to use the f310 as player 2. When I plug in the controller with the x/d switch in the x setting, lsusb recognizes the gamepad, but in xinput mode. When I switch it to the D mode, its not recognized at all.

I’ve gone through and tried retroarch-joyconfig, and in both x and d modes, the controller is unresponsive.

I’ve seen tutorials on how to use the xboxdrv, however, its asking to modify rc.conf and some other init-based config files., However, Openelec 5.0 is using systemd, which isnt using those files.

Anyone have ideas on how we can get this controller to life?

Nevermind, got it working. I figured out that the controller has to be in X mode, and I go into the retroarch menu while playing a game, and I can bind all the keys, works fine.

Ah, glad you got it working. Thanks for posting your solution, too
