The source I got n64 core from old RetroArch versions. Regarding the controller you can use 1.0.0.2.1 version. Full screen, go to gear icon > Video. Then tap 3 times or more on Aspect Ratio until you see 16:9. Gear iCon has all the settings like the Frontend.
