Mac: path for PSX bios

Hi,

after I configured RetroArch on my iPad i was curios and installed it on my Mac as well. Everything works fine so far, except PSX emulation. The wiki tells me to put it in the “system” directory, although I am not 100% sure what that is.

I have the correct bios-files (scph5500.bin, and all the other numbers…) and they work fine on the iOS version. Core Info for the pcsx core tells me “missing, required”.

The bios files are in /UsernameLibrary//Application Support/RetroArch Under Settings->Path Option is the exact same path for “System”.

Furthermore, I placed the files also in various other directories, including the ISO location and in the RetroArch Program package in the modules folder.

No luck so far. Where do they belong? Thanks for helping me.

In reply to myself:

I fixed the problem.I am on Mavericks (10.9.2) and I first used this version “RetroArch-OSX10.7-x86_64-v1.0.0.2.zip” which apparently did not recognize the file path for the system folder and could not find the bios files.

By simply changing the version to “RetroArch-OSX10.6-x86-v1.0.0.2.zip” everything works like a charm now.

Hmm. Weird. I’m glad you got it figured out, though, and thanks for posting your solution
