Mail Server Issues (for libretro.com)

I had a nightmare of a time signing up for this forum because it looks like there are a few issues with the mail server you’re using. Firstly it’s misconfigured and secondly it’s on at least one major blacklist.

Errors from my mail server specifically were…

2014-12-11 13:04:43 H=192-99-225-59.vmnode.pw (localhost.localdomain) [192.99.225.59] F=<[email protected]> rejected RCPT <x>: Bad HELO. You are not localhost, please configure your server properly.

2014-12-11 13:11:40 H=192-99-225-59.vmnode.pw (localhost.localdomain) [192.99.225.59] F=<[email protected]> rejected RCPT <x>: RBL Failure. 192.99.225.59 is listed on zen.spamhaus.org.

I basically had to disable most filtering to actually receive the sign up email.

Probably worth forwarding this on to whoever maintains the actual server this forum runs on.

I had this problem as well. I was using a Gmail account to sign up, but i got no confirmation email… wasn’t even in the Spam folder. However I tried again with an Outlook email address and was able to get a confirmation.
