I have placed mame roms in the mame folder I created. But when I click on a game, and the ARCADE (MAME 2003) emulator. It takes me back to the springboard. How do I get the mame roms to work?
I saw somebody playing street fighter 3 on this emulator too. I would love to be able to play that.
You probably have the wrong ROMs. MAME is extremely picky about which games it will load, and each release has its own ROMset. Many of these are the same version-to-version but it’s easiest just to get the exact ROMset for your MAME version.
MAME 2003 equates to the 0.078 version of MAME, so you should look for that set.

Do you know what emulator runs street fighter 3?
I know FBA does, I’m not sure if MAME 2003 does or not. I know MAME got it at some point, as well, but I think FBA is your best/easiest bet. It also has its own romset, btw, so make sure you search for it, specifically.
