is there a way to change options for the mednafen psx core to something other than software renderer?
There’s an experimental hardware renderer (the core labeled ‘HW’) but it’s not much faster right now and has some bugs. Even with the software renderer, you can increase the internal resolution (2x is pretty doable, 4x if you have a very fast CPU; it’s in the core options), if that’s what you were wanting out of a hardware renderer.
oh i didn’t realize it was early in development. my cpu is extremely old (i’d literally do anything for an upgrade from this q6600) and slow and my gpu, being a 750ti, is much more powerful. the hw renderer doesn’t even work on my pc but i was trying to turn the settings down a little
