Mednafen PCE FAST

My point was that accuracy for accuracy’s sake isn’t always helpful, particularly when speed is of concern, as is the case with PCE-Fast. This is one of the cores that can just barely get full speed on many low-powered platforms (think: hacked/jailbroken consoles and ARM devboards), so using a more accurate core for no real benefit could be a substantial detriment.

It’s a little frustrating just because it’s one of the only cores not ported over from Mednafen and would probably be more useful than yet another SNES core based on BSNES or GBA based on VBA. But I understand it would only benefit a few games and since Twinaphex would probably have to do it, he probably has lots of other more useful core work he wants to do. Hopefully more devs jump on core development as Libretro grows

I’m sorry man, I didn’t mean to be a dick or be a smart-ass about it.

It’s just that the Mednafen PSX and Saturn cores which is probably the most accurate cores/emulators for these systems are in Libretro today and like Awakened said, Mednafen PCE accuracy is the only core not ported from Mednafen so it’s really sad in that aspect.

Anyway I’m happy with these cores I use today as they’re more accurate then the alternatives I have ever used in the past so I shall not complain.

BTW, I made a signature from your previous post.

heh, it’s fine. my response was snarkier than necessary.
