Mednafen Super Grafx and Turbografx issue: help

Hi guys, i have just updated retroarch and i downloaded th2 2 cores Beetle Super Grafx and Beetle Turbo Grafx 16. Then I have created 2 roms folder:

  1. in the first one, named PC ENGINE, i saved 2 games: a .pce game with pce extenzion and a game with 2 file. bin and cue.
  2. in the second one, named SUPER GRAFX, i saved 2 games, with .pce extension

Well, i have some problems.

  1. first of all, if I load the Beetle PCE emulator, after the scan of its games folder, it doesn’t detect any game and the emulator icon doesn’t appear in the RetroArch main menu
  2. if I load the Beetle Super Grafx and i load its game folder, they appears correctly. If i try to load games in the PC Engine folder, it doesn’t detect anything. But if i copy/paste the .pce game of the PC engine in the SUPER GRAFX FOLDER, it is detected when I scan the rom folder of the Super grafx. If i put there the .bin/.cue game too, it isn’t detected…

It is really strange…how can I correctly set up the 2 emulators? And how can I detect the .bin/cue game?

EDIT: for sure the problem isn’t related to the iso game becasue i’m just tried Mednafen+Medaffe GUI and all the pc engine games that I have works perfecly. Double click on the .cue file and the game works perfectly. So it is a problem only related to Retroach :frowning: But i don’t know how to fix it

  1. for games not detected when scanning, its either you do not have retroarch database updated, or in most cases the roms you have does not match crc/serial the database requires which mostly happens for cue/bin(load them manually)

  2. for games not seen when browsing, probably missing core info files.

thanks. I have updated both databases and core info files. I loaded pc engine emulator (Beetle turbo grafx) and i have scanned the folder with the 2 games: the .pce game and the iso+cue game. Again, the .pce game is detected, but the iso+cue game not.

How can I manually load the game? For sure it isn’t a bad dump because every game works perfectly with mednafen stand alone version. The problem is present only on Retroarch :frowning: thanks!
