Mednafen tries to load save file that doesn't exist?

Both of the Mednafen cores spit out this error when trying to run any .bin or .cue files despite me having the correct BIOS. These are all first time running on Retroarch so there shouldn’t be any reason to load a file. PS didn’t mean to paste this in general, had the playstation section open in another tab and screwed it up a bit.

this does not affect emulation at all. it loads the file if its present(sram or memory card save) or will create it after successful load and exit of the game.

what exactly is the problem you are having?

post details of what you are trying to load. im guessing these have wav, mp3 or ogg tracks? retroarch does not like that kind of cdformat

Nope nothing like that in either ISO

the cue sheets are probably in a format that retroarch does not like

here is my multitrack cue sheet of SOTN FILE “Castlevania - Symphony of the Night (USA) (Track 1).bin” BINARY TRACK 01 MODE2/2352 INDEX 01 00:00:00 FILE “Castlevania - Symphony of the Night (USA) (Track 2).bin” BINARY TRACK 02 AUDIO INDEX 00 00:00:00 INDEX 01 00:02:00

Heres my Medievil cue sheet FILE “MediEvil (USA) (Track 1).bin” BINARY TRACK 01 MODE2/2352 INDEX 01 00:00:00 FILE “MediEvil (USA) (Track 2).bin” BINARY TRACK 02 AUDIO INDEX 00 00:00:00 INDEX 01 00:02:00

Heres Crash 2 FILE “Crash Bandicoot 2 - Cortex Strikes Back (USA).bin” BINARY TRACK 01 MODE2/2352 INDEX 01 00:00:00

ok, that line in you screenshot is suppose to be bios related, probably you have corrupted bios files. confirm crc of each

Kind of new to RA, how do I get the MD5 sum and CRC?

download and install(if you do not have yet) 7zip, a compression program. zip those bios. open them and u will see a column there CRC, compare it to CRC32 in my pose

Identical

then im not really sure about why right now. try use latest nighly of retroarch, then update your psx core, the way things are in your ss, it should work.

The nightly build did it, thanks!

ok good to hear.
