hi i recently upgraded from 1.15 to 1.22.1 and I’ve noticed a problem when the hotkey enabler feature is used and set to the tilde key the toggle menu hot key does not work even if i change the hotkey for menu toggle to something else. it does work if i set the hotkey enabler to something else. also the tilde key will work with other hotkeys so tilda f for fullscreen works as well as other other hotkeys. however when trying to use tilde as a hotkey enabler the menu toggle hotkey won’t work and it did back on 1.15.
Tilde working normal here as any key and hotkey as always.

So I’ve been experimenting and found that the last good version that still lets me use the tilde key is version 1.21.0. So, something happened between 1.21.0 and 1.22.0 that broke the tilde key. I also tested this for both x86 and x64 just in case that made a difference it didn’t. I then tested a nightly build dated 2025-12-15 still no luck.
What are you running RetroArch on?
I’m currently running RetroArch on windows 10.
Hm, okay, nothing special happened there as far as I can recall. It shouldn’t matter much, but what is the keyboard layout?
I’m using a standard USA layout
edit: also just tried a different keyboard in a different usb port still nothing
