Is there is going to be future support for MSU-1 at some point?
The Wii probably isn’t powerful enough to run even bsnes performance profile and bsnes is needed for MSU1.
If/when there’s ever a Wii U port (I do know a couple of people working on a Wii U port, or at least something akin to RetroArch), so once that’s rolling maybe, but as it stands, the Wii is simply too weak for Bsnes, even the performance profile would struggle. But with a recent direction, the performance profile has been deprecated, so that’ll make it even harder to run.
We’ll never get rid of the performance profile, it just won’t get updates.
Looks like they’ve pulled the Snes9x libretro core with MSU-1 support, so there’s a good chance of seeing that in the Wii/U port eventually. I hope they grab the last few commits as well though, I’ve fixed at least 1 stupid bug since they pulled it.
hey man, welcome
We’re getting a lot of crackling at the moment, trying to figure out what’s up, but we should have it all worked out soon. Twinaphex has mentioned wanting to backport it to the older/faster snes9x2010 core, as well.
Oh my, seeing MSU in Snes9x 2010 will surely be awesome. Looking forward to it!

Snes9x 1.53 mainline already runs full speed on Wii U Some games have weird graphical glitches due to speed hacks on Snes9x 2010, some games have broken mode 7/gradients (FF6 has a flat color instead of gradients in the save menu, to name a few), but I digress XD Having both cores with MSU-1 is a good idea and will take time, but it’ll be awesome. But I digress, just saying if you can use Snes9x mainline, it runs full speed too
my gosh i find you in every forum

I’m having the same issue with Snes9xGX, and I have a sneaking suspicion the cause is probably similar.
