Mupen64 - core options, etc

I’m having issues configuring this core, there are RA core options, which are fine, and there are core self options, where I set the rumble pak, change buttons to YB and pump up resolution, but anything gets saved. I tested and Sega Genesis core changes are saved, so I don’t know why Mupen64’s don’t.

Also when raising the resolution, it doesn’t get fullscreen at all, game is displayed on a small corner at the bottom left of monitor. And when switching core/config files inside RA from Mupen64, RA always crashes, but I guess this is already a known issue.

Thanks for help.

I know about Glide64mk2.ini, but didn’t see any setting related. Any help is appreciated.

If you’re using one of the nightlies, the core options are failing to save because RA is crashing on exit. This is also the problem with the resolution change because you have to restart it to get the new res. I don’t think the 1.0.0.2 release has such a problem, and I’m pretty sure the nightlies from early May are fine, too.

I had to use one of the nightlies for the new shader features, ATM I’m using 05-Jun version. 1.0.0.2, a build from here. Do you mean there is no build with the new shader features and a working mupen64 core at the same time?

Yeah, I believe that’s the case. However, you could try setting up the older build with the mupen settings you want and then replace the executable with one of the newer builds. It will still crash on exit, but your settings should already be in place.

Yes, that’s what I was thinking. I will try later when I boot to Win7.

edit: no luck. Settings do get stored “somewhere” in official 1.0.0.2 build, but not on the ones from 15-May or 05-Jun. I say somewhere, because I copied both files (Glide64mk2.ini and mupen64plus.cfg) to system but everything is as before. I couldn’t locate my settings inside ini to confirm these are the modified files.

edit2: sorted

Now I understand, that might be the reason why the unzipped roms aren’t deleted. I hope there’s a new stable version of RA soon, it’s been almost half a year since then. (edit: my bad thought they were Jan, last release was on March)

edit: Also having issues with the psx core, I can’t load Resident Evil 2, with stable release 1.0.0.2 I can. Let’s hope a PC stable build is in the oven.
