N64 analog stick not tilting correctly

Hello all,

I’ve been having an unusual problem when attempting to play N64 games, and this is that the analog stick range is too small, resulting in games where characters that are normally able to run and walk being only able to walk. My controller (a GC controller connected via Mayflash adapter) works completely fine with other emulators (including N64 emulators outside of Retroarch), so I’m wondering what the problem is and how I could get it resolved. I have searched other topics for a solution. So far what I have found is that the problem lies in the fact that the N64’s deadzone is very large- or something along those lines. Any insights would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
