N64 low fps

Hi,

I’ve been trying several different config changes, but I can’t get my n64 games to run faster than ~20 fps I had the same issue with the PSX at first, but it got fixed when I added the bios files, and it now runs perfectly.

Is there a way to improve the speed of my n64 games ? Am I missing some files or a specific configuration ? I’m mostly planning on playing marios and zeldas

Thanks for your help

What device are you on? Is it jailbroken? Do you use the latest build from the download section?

Hi,

My device is an iPad Mini, it is indeed jailbroken in 6.1.2, I use RetroArch 1.0.9.0 that I got from http://emu4ios.net/

emu4ios creates unofficial builds which are not supported by the RA team. Try downloading the latest official build from the Download section.

If you’re jailbroken, you should stick with official builds if for no other reason than that.

Thanks for the info,

I didn’t find this forum until after I installed everything, I just saw a youtube video of a guy doing it with emu4ios and it seemed simple enough. I’ll remove it and try again with a hopefully more stable version

Thanks for your help!

Make sure to add libretro.com/cydia to your cydia source. That’s the official source to download Retroarch for jailbroken devices.
