Hello. I’m running Retroach on a PC with 32-bit Windows 7 and GT440 videocard. Most games runs fine, but not Nintendo 64. Take a look at this video - http://vps.nastyrose.tk/n64_problem.mp4 (the file is 3.5 megabytes, if someone care). Sorry for the quality, but I’m sure that the problem with Mario’s shadow can been seen clearly. For those who can’t see the video - the shadow under Mario, which has to be constant black circle, is glitching - sometimes it appears, sometimes not, sometimes only half of it appears and so on. I’ve already tried updating DX and videocard drivers, nothing changed. I didn’t find any way to configure Nintendo 64 core’s graphics in Retrroarch, so I have to ask here - what can cause this problem and how could I fix it? I saw many videos on Youtube with Mario 64 running fine on Retroarch, so there has to be a solution.
you will have to learn to live with it until somebody can fix it.
it is typical N64 high level video emulation bugs to do with the depth bias. it doesn’t help either that the behavior varies per GPU (and game).
That’s sad. What’s ever more sad - this game works just fine in Mupen64Plus emulator on same computer. But Muper64Plus doesn’t support mapping quicksave/load on gamepad buttons.
