Does anybody know where I can download the most recent cores without using retroarch. I downloaded retroarch from a public computer onto a thumb drive and I do not have an internet connection on the computer that I am going to install it on. Any help appreciated!
You can go to buildbot.libretro.com and download them manually.
protip: if you hover over a folder icon, a little checkbox appears and if you click it, a little download icon appears in the upper-left corner of your browser window that will let you download everything in the folder. Use that on the ‘latest’ folder for your platform of choice.
I thought the cores were libretro .dll files! All I see in the playstation folder is psxtest.exe. Also which folder in retroarch do I put them?
The cores are indeed dll files. That psxtext.exe is actually a homebrew test app you can run on PS1s. It’s there for testing purposes.
What you need is in nightly > your platform > your architecture > latest
