Neo Geo AES instead of MVS? (x64 port)

Is there a way to setup Neo Geo to AES mode instead of MVS?

The only way I managed to do so is to use Universe BIOS but I have to enter and change it every single time.

Any permanent solution for Universe or another method?

With the Mame 2015 core you put a text file you name neogeo.ini with:

bios unibios31

In RetroArch\system\mame\ini folder.

But wouldn’t this also “force” MAME to play Neo Geo titles in AES mode? Is there a way to make only the FBA core do that?

I don’t know about FBA.

But for Mame it forces the use of the Unibios. On its launch screen you push A+B+C buttons together and then you have the choice between AES and MVS.
