NES Sound issues

Hi! I’m running RetroArch with Rocketlauncher and the first core I’ve (sort of) set up is the NES but when I launch a game the sound is distorted, I’ve tried turning vsync off and increasing the audio latency but to no avail any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated as NES will be one of my main cores. This is with v1.7.4 on 64bit windows.

Do you have any shaders enabled? All of the NES cores are super lightweight (except for bnes; don’t use it), so it’s probably not an issue with insufficient CPU grunt.

I don’t have any shaders on and the video looks okay its just the sound is so bad and I’m using the default Nestopia core Ive tried changing cores it has no real effect.

Does it make any difference if you go into settings > drivers and change the audio driver to something else?

No its odd.

I know this is an old thread but I found that by upgrading to a newer version it got rid of the sound issues, I was using a old version from Simply Austin’s guide.
