New Atari VCS Joystick config?

I just received a Atari VCS Wireless Classic Joystick (https://atarivcs.com/wireless-classic-joystick) in the mail and am planning to use it with retroarch on my Windows 10 PC. I’ve got the controller connected via bluetooth and paired, when launching Retroarch and a game (in this case Atari 2600 game Adventure using stella_libretro) I am seeing:

Bluetooth gamepad (12880/4097) not configured

I’d like to set this controller up to use with retroarch for my older systems that used joystick/single button style like the 2600.

The main controllers I use are the Xbox One Series X/S with the wireless adapter for Windows 10, I’m using these for the majority of my systems. However I would like to be able to power down my Xbox controller, power on the Atari VCS controller and be able to launch an Atari 2600 game and have retroarch detect this and be ready to play. Was curious how to go about getting this kind of configuration going?

Edit: I’d still like to have my Xbox One wireless controller be an automatic option to play 2600 games if I do not have the VCS controller powered on.

Appreciate any input on how I might go about doing this and thanks.

Once you get the Atari controller configured and create an autoconfig profile for it, you should be able to do what you describe.
