New installed, some bugs with N64 emulation

  1. Pilotwings64 is unplayable because there is a large black 2d shape which appears
  2. In Goldeneye I can’t aim properly since there is too big a deadzone on the controller, and there is no option to change the deadzone
  3. In Mario 64, 2D items like coins do not have enough of a view distance.

Also, I had an old version which had “detect core” and now the option has disapeared after updating. Seems really foolish not to have.

1: That’s a shadow-rendering issue that has been present in N64 emulation for a long time. Other emulators use a hack to remove the shadow altogether.

2: There is a setting for this in the core options.

3: I’m not entirely sure what you mean by that. If it’s what I think it is try changing the Glide Polygon Offset Factor (also in the core options).

Detect core requires .info files to be present, make sure to check if the Core Info Directory is set to the correct folder.

I’m afraid not, I have took a picture for you
