Newbie help: overlays and CD systems

Hello there. I’m a new user of RetroArch and I have a few questions…

  1. I’ve already set up a few systems, and I’d like to test the overlays… what are the exact steps to enable them under Windows? I’ve already downloaded them from the online updater.

  2. RetroArch doesn’t seem to detect properly some of my systems… I’ve told RetroArch to scan my SegaCD, PC Engine CD and Atari Lynx folders but the won’t appear in my main menu. Maybe they’re not in the expected format? SegaCd and PC Engine CD use CUE+BIN, and Atari Lynx LNX (zipped).

I can open the games for some these systems (PC Engine CD, Sega CD) individually.

I don’t think we have scanning support for PCE-CD or Sega CD yet, not sure about Lynx.

To turn on an overlay, go to settings > onscreen overlay and make sure overlays are enabled and then go down to ‘overlay preset’ and navigate to the one you want to use.
