Newcomer - iPhone 5s - Controller - Aspect Ratio

Hi guys!!

A couple of weeks ago I installed RetroArch on my Jailbroken iPhone 5s… Has been working great so far, playing my old N64 Games, but there are two things I can’t seem to figure out…

  • Last week, I bought the Logitech Powershell MFi Controller for iPhone, it’s just a controller you connect by the standard lightning port, so no bluetooth involved. With other official and unofficial apps, it works automatically, but I can’t seem to make it work on the RetroArch emulators, even with ‘‘autodetect joypad’’ turned on… Anyone’s got a clue how to make this work? I tried googling for a week, but most of it is aimed at ps3 controllers, but this should be easier…?

-I am also trying to make the aspect ratio fit the full iPhone screen, since now it’s kind of square. Fiddling around with the aspect ratio settings in the global config make the screen go black, so I guess I’m doing something wrong?

Hope anyone knows about this, and can help me out

Thanks in advance! Joris

  1. RetroArch doesn’t seem to have full MFi controller support implemented in the current public version. The PS3 controller works better because it uses the BTStack method rather than functioning as an MFi controller.

  2. Try changing aspect ratio settings using the RGUI menu rather than the global config.
