This is an Android (armeabi-v7a) build grabbed from the latest (as of 2014-06-15) commit to the upstream repo’s master branch, 7b3f005 with the addition of a few of my own bug fixes and features that I expect will be merged upstream shortly.

Issues you encounter with RetroArch in this build can be noted in this thread, but should also be reported using this link: https://github.com/libretro/RetroArch/issues/new

How do you bring up the RGUI now or exit to the menu if you aren’t using an overlay? Pressing the back button doesn’t seem to do anything and there is no option in the setting to use the back button to bring up the RGUI or exit retroarch anymore.

My controller also isn’t being detected automatically but that’s not as big of deal if I can just manually assign the buttons.

Yep. I have the same issue. Can’t use the back button to bring up the menu unless I manually map a button for it in RGUI. I’ll see if I can create a PR to fix that.

Reporting one other issue: it seems setting the custom directories for saves, states and system doesn’t actually set the directories. They end up listing as <romdir> in the GUI and appear to actually save to the internal app folder. It sounds like this change was made for KitKat, but shouldn’t we still be able to optionally override the directories anyway in case we don’t have KitKat installed?

I believe the management is aware that the android native interface has issues. Issues like yours can be reported here: https://github.com/libretro/RetroArch/issues/new
