I’m using version 1.3.6 stable. The program crashes now and then. Is it recommended that I use a nightly version instead?? Or wait till the next stable version?
We generally suggest people upgrade to a nightly if they have problems with stable. If they still have problems with the nightly, we start troubleshooting.
What exactly is the difference between a stable version and nightly. Is nightly the current beta?
The nightlies are just the absolute latest code. From time to time, when we think it’s a good time to do it based on stability and features, we wave a magic wand and call that day’s nightly a “stable” release. It doesn’t really mean it’s that much more stable than a typical nightly, but we try to hold off on releasing a stable until there are no glaring, game-breaking bugs.
