NVidia Shield Tablet

I have a brand new NVidia Shield Tablet. I was able to get SNES to work, and I’m going to try play PSX games soon as well.

However, I keep getting stuck with two things. The first is a green screen in which I can’t push any buttons or do anything with the options. I seem to need a controller just to move up and down, but nothing else does anything.

Secondly, when I try to play N64 games, all I get is a single bloated pixel that flashes colors. Audio is great, but I can’t see anything.

Any ideas?

You need to enable an overlay, go into settings, and select an input overlay

Oh, okay, I’ll have that set up. But the Mupen64 issue is still occuring.

No clue about that sorry

I have the same issue with Mupen. It was reported in another thread, but there doesn’t appear to be a setting or different core that fixes it.

Something else I’ve noticed with the Shield Tablet, it seems that Retroarch cores run slower on it compared to the Shield Portable. I backed up and copied my install of Retroarch from my Shield Portable which has no noticeable lag whatsoever. I’ve tweaked any setting I could find to get it to stop, but I still see lag and hear stuttering, despite the tablet being 200MHz faster than the portable.

Very strange. Maybe it’s just an optimization issue?
