I have the same questions here
I just want to request a key mapping feature, like other emulatorsā¦ I can use my gamepad in many programs, but it fails in retro arch
@amadeukaos There is manual button assignment. You have to disable the autodetection and then scroll down and find the āplayer 1ā menu where you can assign your binds. Have you tried that yet?
Oh man, this is in the manual? Sorry, I didnĀ“t figured out! So, now it works for me! Thanks for the help, and thanks for the awesome app!
@amadeukaos Hmm. It may not be in the manual. Iāll have to check.
Regardless, Iām glad that got you fixed up

Hi, I posted this under another thread, but I am reposting here, which seems like the proper place for it. Can you please add the Gamestop wireless controller? I am including a link to an image of the controller, if that is helpful.

Thank you.
I added the following in this commit:
- Thrustmaster T Mini Wireless
- Gamestop Wireless (iCade profile)
- Tomee NES USB
This will be in version 0.9.9 - so you will have to let me know then after that is released if it works alright for you.
Greatā¦thank you. Will look out for the change and will let you know how everything works.
I donāt know if this is just my experience or not, but I am using a Nexus 7 tablet and when I go to input settings and settled Gamestop Wireless under the icade profile, the app stops working and shuts down. I tried it several times, and shut off my Nexus 7 a few times but it still didnāt work.
Hi square, thanks for the new release ;). Any chances of adding IcontrolPad support without Bluez-IME? Please? Itās working fine using Bluez-IME but It could be nice to have direct support for the pad.
BTW, my phone uses Android 4.1.2, I can connet the pad as a generic HID GamePad or simply as a HID keyboard, so why is that it doesnāt work with retroarch? Couldnāt you just add support for generic HID devices?
Nothing is stopping you from manually configuring it yourself. The manual explains this as well.
Ha ha, that was easy. Thanks, I thought that only the autodeted devices were compatible with the app. I simply disabled the autodetection feature and configured the pad using custom binds.
Man, sorry for that silly requests. It already works ;). We only need analog support now ;P.
Iāve run into an odd issue. Iāve got a Power A wireless PS3 controller, non-Bluetooth (it uses a USB dongle). RetroArch apparently picks up on it being there, and binds it (as a Gasia,Co. Ltd controller or something like that), but the custom binds donāt work properly. At least not in-game, I can bind them just fine, but once running something, the face buttons and such seem fine, but the d-pad only properly registers left, and has an approximately 2 second lag time on any other direction, as well as not recognizing diagonals.
It also sees the analog stick as the same as the d-pad, but I donāt know if thatās just how it is. Strangely enough, the controller also allows navigation through the menus perfectly as well, d-pad and all.
Honestly, Iād still be using my Wii remote for this stuff, but a certain firmware update previously mentioned had something to say about that. Dagnabbit, Google, what were you thinking?
Okay, controller stuff:

Hello and thanks for your work!
Defender Game Racer Classic (PC) USB 10but Port 0: USB Gamepad Pad1: <x> , ac=0, src=1281. a=188 b=189 c=190 x=191 y=192 z=193 L1=194 R1=195 L2=196 R2=197 START=197 Pad1: x <X>, y <Y>, z 0.00, rz 0.00 UP=-0,-1 DOWN=-0,1 LEFT=-1,-0 RIGTH=1,-0
Tell me what a, b, c, x, y, and z means here.
Your pad has face buttons that are labelled from 1 to 6. Tell me what the ākey codesā of each button name are (ie. 1 = 188, 2 = 189, and so on).
This will make it possible for me to map this pad to our RetroPad button layout - otherwise it will be futile guesswork.
1 - a - 188 2 - b - 189 3 - c - 190 4 - x - 191 5 - y - 192 6 - z - 193 7 - L1 - 194 8 - R1 - 195 9 - L2 - 196 10 - START - 197
This is the exact name that shows up when you press the first button while ingame, right?
The name is case sensitive and it needs to be EXACTLY the same for the name pattern recognition to work. Right now I have set the detection to āGasia,Coā.
Still, even if this is correct, let me know the exact name string anyways so that I can differentiate it better.
