Sorry to post this here, but I just wanted to ask where to make one-off donations to Retroarch? I intend to make them as frequently as I can but did not wish to commit to monthly payments in case of financial issues. Many thanks.
Probably the easiest way to handle that would be to pitch in on a bounty you would like to support. Otherwise, it seems the only way to do it via Patreon is to pledge an ongoing one and then delete the pledge once itās charged, which is a dumb hassle.
We might be able to setup a coinbase for bitcoins. Would that be an option?
I thought you can d on off payments with patreon?
shrug, maybe! I just googled the issue and one of the results was a doc by Patreon that said theyād considered it but rejected it because their goal is longer-term support for creators. They may have changed that stance at some point, though.
I think your probably right
Thanks for your replies people, but no matter. Iām going to enter your Patreon. Sorry for the fuss.
You can make a one-off donation to libretro via BountySource without having to put money on a specific bounty.
- Visit this page: https://www.bountysource.com/teams/libretro
- At the top right there is a box with a button labelled āSupport libretroā that takes you to the donation page: https://www.bountysource.com/teams/libretro

Well, I made a new ādonationā page on the RetroArch website.
http://retroarch.com/index.php?page=donate
It lists all the available ways of contributing - Patreon, donating directly to our Bountysource bucket, and also a third new option, donating via Bitcoin, for the people that would like to do that, for instance if you just want to āone-off donateā instead of these recurring donations on Patreon which might drive some people away.
