OS X Lion build: testers welcome

Yes, I have tried other arcade misc stuff, CPS1, pang, super pang etc, and only NEOGEO games won´t load.

I have noticed other buts, but i think they are final burn alpha known issues. Golden Axe´s sound out of sync and slowing down, shinobi sound issues… i think those are final burn alpha problems, not the osx port of Retroarch.

Also, bNes hanged my computer yesterday with Batman 1 :slight_smile:

The retroarch process got hung up or your whole computer? If it was your whole computer, that could be serious, since the worst case scenario should be that the retroarch process has to force close.

hunterk: the whole computer hang up. It was with bNes. Fce ran the game with no problem. It´s the only game i´ve tried with retroarch-nes.

Any idea about neogeo vram error?

I´ve been trying bNes, and definitely it´s hanging at random here.

Also I checked RetroArch for windows and the NeoGeo games are loading with no problems, so the issue is related to the mac osx port, not the romset I downloaded.

Otherwise Bsnes and Snes9x cores work like a charm here, and so does Sega Genesis.

@fogueman that’s very strange. I’ll see if I can reproduce the freezing issue on my machine, and I’ll check out neogeo loading while I’m at it.

As mentioned in the other thread, these use the chip dumps intended for bsnes v086 and earlier, with the *.bin extension–except for cx4, which I think is still ok as cx4.rom–and no support for ST018, so that crummy shougi game is a no-go. Also, be aware that the performance profile doesn’t and won’t ever support cx4 loading, so no Mega Man X2-3 with that profile.
