Panasonic 3DO Crashes

I was setting up Retroarch 1.2.2 stable and can’t get the 3DO to work with this version. It always crashes. Same goes for the latest nightly.

Using an old core it doesn’t crash but I just get a black screen.

The only way to get it working is using an old config file I created in my old install of retroarch and an old core (from back in April I believe)

I do have the right Bios file and my roms are in ISO format.

Again, it works fine but only if I load an old config file and an old core.

I just tested the latest nightly and it works fine here. I loaded up an ISO of SSF2T with no problems.

Can you get a log of when it crashes?

I don’t know if people still need help with this, but I had an issue myself. My fix was to put the BIOS file in the system folder without an enclosing folder.

panafz10.bin is the right file to use

Most people using disc-based emulators have already set the BIOS directory path to point to the System folder in RetroArch because of Dreamcast weirdness. The same is true for the 3DO.

I have a 2011 MacBook Pro and I found that the high-resolution video setting for the core will make the screen black. If it’s on, turn it off. If you don’t know what I’m talking about it’s already off.

If you have a tip for high-res settings on my system let me know.
