PCSX Rearmed and NES Crashing

Hello,

Recently I updated my Retroarch through VitaDB. Unfortunately this updated Retroarch to the newest nightly build and began the issue of my PSX emulator crashing on startup and the NES game just says “failed to load ROM”. I reinstalled the latest stable build but I have the same issues. When trying to launch a psx game I get this error:

"An error has occured in the following application.

(C2-12828-1)

Saved Core File Succeeded.

ux0:data/psp2core-1734294487-0x00017329e9-pcsx_rearmed_libretro.self.psp2dmp"

When trying to launch a NES game it just says “Failed to load ROM”

I have put correct BIOS in the “system” folder to see if that helped but it did not.

Any help as to what to do would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

I get the feeling that the update messed up your configured directories. Check within RetroArch.if they remain the same. Meanwhile, you can redownload the PS1 and NES cores, then manually load content.

Thanks for the response. Are my cores supposed to be found in app0:? That’s what it says in configure. Everything else seems okay. Anything specifically I should be looking for? I can try downloading the cores when I get home from work tonight.

I use a regular PC, so I don’t know about the PS Vita’s internal locations. Do you load your games directly (“load content” option) or do you use a playlist? If it’s the latter, that’s why I mentioned locations. If the update changed something about those, the playlist will keep searching for the wrong place. Similarly, your cores might be inside folder A, but RetroArch is configured to look for them at folder B, after the update. It’s all just a guess though.

I did it both ways. I installed it fresh so I had to rescan my directory but I also did “load content”. They both give me the same error.

Then you’d better enable logging to have a better grasp of what could be causing the error. The logs are way better for telling that.
