Per controller hotkeys?

Hi all,

I’m a new user to RetroArch. Main use is under Android on my new Nvidia Shield TV. I’ve gotten it all up and running and controls configured for the Nvidia controller and an 8bitdo SFC30 controller.

Is it possible to set hotkey mappings per different controller type?

e.g. on the Nvidia controller I’d like to map the back button to the hotkeys enable function, then I’d like to map start to the exit emulator function.

but on the SFC30 I’d like to map select to hotkey enable and again start to exit emulator.

Is this possible?

If so, would both mappings be active at the same time - for if I have both controllers connected I can use the functionality from either.

No it’s not possible

Aren’t we threading a bit too thin now? What about per-controller-per-core hotkeys, and then per-controller-per-game hotkeys

The Shield TV remote always binds as a navigation control you could use that for the GUI instead
