The only aspect where Android RetroArch is inferior to stand-alone emulators for Android is the ability to move buttons around with touch controls.
Emulators such as “pizza boy” allows to quick and easily move and resize buttons on the screen, allowing for perfect positioning of the controls according to your hand size and way of holding the device. This is ergonomics at its finest.
Having such an ability on retroarch too would be a blast.
Please consider it. A lot of games such as turn based games or rpgs can be played without a physical controller without any performance hindrance on a touch screen, but the pre-defined overlays are very limited compared to what I described above.
