Post Issues on RetroArch v1.3 (PS3)

Please post any issues you have experienced in RetroArch v1.3 (PS3).

I’ll start with this off with some recent test on the Genesis Plus GX core

CORE: Genesis_Plus_GX (some issues are global (all cores)) Issues:

[ul] [li] “Restart RetroArch” Option works in a bit of a weird most likely a bug, but to Restart you must select the “Restart RetroArch” Option. Nothing will happen but if you proceed to “Quit RetroArch” it will then Restart RetroArch instead of quiting back to the XMB. to Quit to the XMB you just do not select Restart first.[/li][li] GLUI/MaterialUI (Menu Driver: GLUI) - Does not work correctly, Screen Ratio issues and un able to switch back without deleting retroarch.cfg file )[/li][li] Load / Save (Game Saves) … (Appears to just be the loading.)[/li][/ul] (may or may not be a bugs) [ul] [li] If playing a game and want to switch roms be sure to select the “Close Content” options, if you fail to do this step, you most likely will be booted back to the XMB.[/li][li]Compressed files (zip) not supported. All roms must be unzipped[/li][li]Database Not Working?? (could be issues on my end. limited number roms tested)[/li][/ul]

Note: All system are working on this core (SG-1000, GG, Master System, Genesis, Sega GD)

CORE: Snes9xnext

[ul] [li] Not working at all, When booting a rom throws you back to XMB.[/li] [/ul]

CORE: Mednafen_VB Issues:

Note: Games boot and play fine.

CORE: ProSystem (A7800) ---- Not working at all, When booting a rom throws you back to XMB.

NOTE----- Issue in v1.2.2 (Unofficial Compile) Prosystem (A7800) in the previous release 1.2.2.2 - the core was “working” but it wasn’t passing it’s own internal database info to the emulator core to properly implement bank switching, rom flags, Pokey chip detection, and region. This function works in all other compiles of Retroarch I’ve tested, Windows, Android. But the PS3 version does not properly implement Prosystem’s database processing. This is not the RA database, but a specific Database tat is part of the source code of Prosystem. I would assume that if the core is patched to load roms without crashing to the XMB, this bug will still exist.

CORE: MAME 2003 (0.78)

Issues: [ul] [li]Leaving a game (even if using the close content) will shoot you back to the XMB.[/li][li]“Restart RetroArch” Option -----------> GLUI/MaterialUI (Menu Driver: GLUI) - Does not work correctly, Screen Ratio issues and un able to switch back without deleting retroarch.cfg file )[/li][li]Load / Save (Game Saves) … (Appears to just be the loading.)[/li][li]Compressed files (zip) not supported.
