Preformance issue [ANDROID]

Hi, I have recently test Retroarch on 2 devices:

  • Archos GamePad
  • MINIX Neo X5

it’s the same hardware: Rockchip RK3066 1.6Ghz Dual Core GPU Mali-400 MP Quad Core 1GB DDR3 Android 4.1.1

I have test: FB Alpha (Demon Front, and many Neo Geo games) Snes9x-Next (Donkey Kong Country) PCSX-reARMed (Crash Bandicoot 2)

On Archos Gamepad it’s good, games run great without problem. But on MINIX… it’s bad: GFX lag, sound crackles…

Usually games run better on MINIX not Archos GamePad, but with Retroarch it is the opposite.

I have test multiple resolution, change 50/60Hz, Forced refresh rate on Retroarch, but on MINIX it’s never perfect and generally better with other emulators. I do not know how to solve this problem.

If the MINIX is 50 fps screen, you’ll need threaded video mode which is implemented. Will probably be in r13.

I’m on 60Hz (60fps)

but yes if I switch on 50Hz (50fps) Retroarch say I’m on 60… not 50

MINIX is one of these dongle thingies that you attach to your HDMI screen.
