Problem with Nintendo GameCube/Wii Core

Hi! First of all I want to say that this project is amazing! Now the problem: I downloaded the “Nintendo - GameCube/Wii (Dolphin)” core in RetroArch, and I tried to start two games (Mario party 6 and 7) but they don’t start. When I try to run one of them I get this error (a yellow text at the bottom of RetroArch app):“failed to open libretro core”. Both games work perfectly with Dolphin emulator (the stand alone app). Moreover I tried Mario Party 2 on RetroArch and it works fine (I don’t know if this can be helpful for understandig what te problem is), so the problem is only with the GameCube/Wii core. Do you have any suggestions to solve this? (I already tried to reset core association and also to reinstall the core).

How did you install RetroArch? Dolphin core should work fine with self-compiled versions, while the Snap package (and maybe other universal packages) don’t work with it or Citra for some unknown reason.

If you post a log of you trying and failing to load the core, I can take a look.

I installed RetroArch by Software Center (I use Linux Mint 19.1). How can I post a log about the error? Sorry for the ignorance, I’m new with these kind of things :frowning:

That’s probably the snap package, yeah. Every core except for dolphin and citra should be fine with it.

I tried to create the log but there aren’t games in RetroArch when it opens with “retroarch --menu --verbose >> retroarch.log 2>&1”.

Finally I managed to make the log file! Can I post it here as a comment?

Thanks everyone for your help!

This issue is not present anymore! It works great!
