Progress on Mednafen-PSX analog axis scale?

I saw a few other threads that reference a problem with certain PSX games (LOD, ape escape) not properly interpreting analog input. There is a way to fix this within mednafen but really no option to enable it in the lib core. Here is the mednafen command

Has there been any progress for this or has it been addressed already in some way?
