PSX Analog Sticks

Hi all,

I can’t seem to use the analog sticks to do anything in game. I’m using a standard Xbox 360 wired controller. I have all of the “stick” settings in the inputs set up, but they do nothing in game. The game I’m trying to play at the moment is Ape Escape. I know it knows I’m using analog because it won’t start without an analog controller. But in-game the sticks do nothing.

Help?

Thank you!

EDIT: This was originally for getting PSX to work at all but I got that worked out, so here’s my new problem. Help would be appreciated.

We’ll need some more information, like which platform you’re using (PC, Android, iOS, whatever), which psx core (pcsx-rearmed core or mednafen-psx), whether you have BIOS files and, if so, whether they’re being detected properly (any message about HLE BIOS emulation), and anything else that would be helpful.

Dang sorry, I got it working by changing… Nothing. It just decided to start working I guess. Sorry, I didn’t see your reply until after I edited the topic to avoid double posting topics.

So for anyone who could use help with that all I did was change 1001 to 5501 and it started working after a while. Maybe I just needed to wait at the black screen longer? It seems to take a few seconds to load. Running on PC: Windows 8. Mednafen psx core.

Thank you for getting back to me though.

Current problem now is getting the sticks on the xbox 360 controller to work as analog sticks in-game. Always something, huh?

It does take a few seconds for it to load because it has to put the whole image into RAM. As for the analogs, be sure to enable them in RGUI (the green-colored menu that comes up when you hit F1 in-game).
