PSX on OS X...hangs on white screen

Im trying to play some PSX games on my Macbook (El Capitan) but when I run a game it just shows a white screen and just does nothing

Ive tried a bunch of Playstation cores but nothing seems to work. Do we need BIOS files or something? Which folder would we put them in?

You definitely need BIOS images. Search the internet for ‘psx bios pack’ and put them all into your ‘system/BIOS’ folder.

@adz2010, You definitely need the BIOS files for PSX games to work properly. The white screen usually means the emulator can not find them. Place the BIOS files in the system folder of your emulator. If you’re using RetroArch, that’s where you should put them. white screen
