PSX ROMs not working on ios 7.1.1?

Can anyone confirm retroarch is working with psx ROMs on ios 7.1.1?

I’m desperately trying to fix a crash-on-psx-ROM-load problem. I’ve reinstalled retroarch, downloaded the scph1001.bin BIOS file(and changed to all lower case), placed it in var/mobile/documents/.retroarch folder. I’ve downloaded FFVII and Crash Bandicoot from coolROMs, placed in var/mobile/documents/ROMs, unzipped them to .bin files. Every time I choose a psx ROM it then asks me to choose core, I choose the psx ReARMed(only option as others don’t show up) but it crashes straight away. Also it might be worth noting that after it crashes, a pcsxr.log file is placed in var/mobile/documents, here’s what it reads;

Starting PCSX-ReARMed 0 Running PCSX Version 1.9 (Jan 11 2014). psxMap: warning: wanted to map @80000000, got 0x61f9000 Init new dynarec

Somebody save meh!

Cheers

Aren’t you supposed to have FOUR bios files?

If so, which are they?

Cheers

Right now i have those bios files, and my iPhone 5S on iOS 7.1.2 and crashes when trying to run PSX Roms.

N64 ROMs are working so it looks to be a problem with the dynarec

this is a fix for A7 devices like iPhone 5s, iPad air, and iPad mini retina. download this file and unzip it. http://www.mediafire.com/download/ey1dth9fyn6qubk/psx_for_A7.zip

just drop the two files: 1- pcsx_rearmed_interpreter_libretro_ios.dylib 2-pcsx_rearmed_interpreter_libretro.info to this directory > var/stash/_.Itmikn/Applications/RetroArch.app/modules or shortcut /Applications/RetroArch.app/modules

after that make sure to quit Retroarch then launch it again for the new configuration to take effect. you will see new core which is Playstaion1 (Non-JB)(PCSX ReARMed)

That core uses Cached interpreter, right? Cause my phone gets too hot very fast.

I guess yeah it uses Cached interpreter, but sometime iPhone 5s gets hot. if you keep the brightness low like from 35-45 then it should be fine.

Im gonna try it out, but im sure anyway this will drain my battery.

Failed to load content. It’s time the devs fix this…

Pull requests are welcome. RetroArch doesn’t claim to support the 7.1.* jailbreaks.

Besides, if it can’t even load the interpreter core for you, I think there’s something wrong on your end.

Did you tried unziping the file?

Thank you so much president zero, you made my month. All working fine now, honestly cannot say how much this has brightened me. Cheers

Ok for some reason retroarch has become really really laggy. It’s fine for a while when you run a game, then it becomes laggy, sound and visuals. Also the fast forward function went haywire and created lag while not allowing me to change the state of the speed, ie the button was unresponsive, I had to reinstall retroarch. I’m using the nonjb core as instructed above

Sounds like your device is overheating.
