I downloaded the core reicast and configured the bios, but I do not use it, the screen is black and the sound of the bios screen is heard but nothing else, from there retroarch stops working. Debian jessie, retroarch 1.4.0
I had the same problem a while ago.
Turn the setting called something like “Shared hardware context” either on or off. Just change it from whatever it is now lol Sorry I can’t be more specific, working from memory on that one.
It’s in Settings > Core and has to be ON.
Thanks for the answer, I already had that option activated, unfortunately the error persists.
Are you sure the bios files are in the correct folder? I thought I had them correct and kept getting a black screen then crash. if you’re on a ubuntu based operating system it should look like this
/home/Your User Name/.config/retroarch/system/dc/dc_boot.bin /home/Your User Name/.config/retroarch/system/dc/dc_flash.bin
I had them in
/home/Your User Name/.config/retroarch/system/dc/data/ because that was how I had to set it up for Android Reicast standalone emulator.
Hope this helps some.
