Removing default playlists?

Here’s a screenshot of Retroarch in my Android device:

As you can see, most of the space is occupied by playlists I cannot remove, despite not needing them. That is to say, unlike the XMB there’s no setting in the Android GUI that allows hiding “Music”, “Image”, “Favorites”, and “Scan”.

Is this something that can be done by editing the .config? If not, would it make sense to open an issue on Github?

Yeah, you could put in a feature request on github.

If you’re reading this, it is now possible to hide any of these playlists as of 1.7.
