Request for general and per core offline manuals

I have been using retroarch for android for probably a year now For long,i have believed that mednafen psx on android didn’t work.Just this morinng when I was browsing for purposes that are far from psx emulation on android,I had just found out on a random website that mednafen psx actually requires bin/cue images and a scph5501 bios(i did not bother looking at this forum back then)

Point is,retroarch has a a lot of options along with requirements for certain cores. Each core is so different from each other and each option found within each core are very alienating to an average user that it tends to drive them away.

Probably a lot of user who downloaded retroarch on the play store does not know what interlacing is or what hard gpu sync is for or why there is a need for the overscan option. This tends a lot of users to randomly enable any option that sounds good potentially breaking their games(and later lots of negative reviews)

A complex multi-emulator system like retroarch defiitely needs out of the box detailed manuals in order to decrease it’s complexity

First of all you are right. But there is a wiki here with lots of documentation. It’s nowhere near complete and since retroarch is constantly evolving it’s hard to keep these up to date. In RGUI there is core information panel with helpful information on the cores and required BIOS, you can always use that as a starting point.

This is my guide and it explains many of the terms regardless of the architecture: http://www.libretro.com/index.php/wiki/ … ows-guide/

You can always contribute you know.

Id love to but I lack knowlede plus,i suggest offline manuals since not everyone has internet 24/7

Thank you
