Request: Frame Doubling mode for 120hz displays

Hi guys, so I have a 120hz display (seiki 50" 4k) that can’t exactly handle black frame insertion, when i turn it on the colors get completely messed up due to it’s pixel response time being too slow, yet when i turn it off, i get some pretty bad stuttering. I’ve tried outputting 60hz to the display and that fixes both the stuttering and the strange color problems, but then i’m left a whole lot more input lag.

I was wondering if someone could implement a mode that just simply doubles every frame instead of adding in black frames, it would definitely be of use for those of us with displays that aren’t quick enough for it. (yeah, i know this only effects a very very small number of users)

Thank you. :3

That is already implemented. Set swap interval to 2 in video settings. Make sure you configure monitor refresh rate in RetroArch as if it was a 60 Hz though (or, half your monitor). (Setting swap interval to 4 would enable frame quadrupling when 240Hz monitors become popular in the distant future … :p)
