Resolution in retroarch

Hi, how to change resolution in retroarch. Thanks.

Your question is vague, so we’re gonna need some more info.

In fullscreen, RetroArch just scales up to match your monitor’s resolution. In windowed, you can change the scale factor (2x, 3x, etc) in the settings > video settings. If you mean a core’s internal resolution, most of the cores are software rendered and don’t support that. Notable exceptions are mupen64plus-libretro and ppsspp-libretro, where you can change internal res via options > core options.

Thanks hunterk, i using fullscreen so my resolution is native 1680x1050.Thanks again.

Is it actually possible to display the retroarch menus in widescreen mode, without the texts being stretched?

@SpaceAgeHero Not with RGUI, but there are other menus that play nicely with high-res widescreen displays, like GLUI and XMB (look in the settings > drivers > menu drivers to change between them). I recommend backing up your retroarch.cfg before switching around between them, so if something goes wrong you can just revert back to your old cfg.
