  1. Under Global Core Settings
  2. When I go to set input config, it recognizes the icade’s dpad and buttons.
  3. However when I go to play the game the settings are back to nul

Is there something special I need to press to save these settings?

Maybe you have permission problem. Just try to check permissions of .RetroArch folder. Set ownership to mobile mobile and access permissions to rwx for all 3 groups.

I think your right on the money.

I set all those permission but the .retroarch folder is grey which I am thinking means its “hidden” from programs like ifile.

Only when I ssh to the IPAD using Winscp can I see the .Retroarch folder. Thinking because of that it cannot write to the retroarch.cfg file.

It’s normal that .RetroArch is hidden folder. This doesn’t cause your problem. Also you can turn on “Hidden Files” in the iFIle’s Preferences - File Manager to see hidden files and folders on the iPad.

Em, try to delete .cfg files. Maybe this will solve the issue.

Thanks Again for pointing me in right direction:

Even though I set .Retroarch to 777 it still would not act like it could write why i did uninstall. That’s only weird thing that bugs me. Its like th folder permissions were corrupt.

What I did to fix: Uninstalled Retroarch via Cydia ssh to ipad removed .Retroarch Reinstalled Retroarch via Cydia Set all Permissions to 777 rwx Group Mobile 501 Owner 501 Reconfigured Global Config

-Its now working as it should. Did IOS 7 change folder permissions by Default?

Note: All Bios fies must be recopied to ipad if you delete the .Retroarch folder I just posted my steps in hopes in can help if someone else runs in to similar issue Now working on removing the overlays and I am set

-Thanks again

@bran479, I glad to see you got it work.
